A preliminary post on rest

Rest has always been a big part of my life, specifically sleep. And after writing that, I notice how I should be sleeping rather than writing a blog. I mean, everyone sleeps for a fairly large percentage of their day. Anyways, back to rest. Just for kicks, I asked google what the word "rest" means (define:rest). Here are my definition choices (which I might dislike later), one as a verb, one as a noun. As a verb, rest can mean to "cease work or movement in order to relax, refresh oneself, or recover strength." As a noun, a rest is "an instance or period of relaxing or ceasing to engage in strenuous or stressful activity." On a fairly shallow level, I would say that rest is just a necessary part of life that we need to take in order to keep doing things. On a fairly shallow level. I mean, no one can work continuously; we all know that, because I'm sure we've all tried. How often has that worked out for you? I'm not sure about you, but it has always ended poorly for me.

Well, I was hoping to say a little more, but no dice. I need to (ready for it?) rest. I am tired, body and mind; therefore, I must rest. I apologize for the truncated post. I'll try to get some more out tomorrow night, but no promises. This week is a very busy week for me. Between working 40 hours in 4 days, a bachelor party, rehearsal (dinner), brother/sister-in-law in town, and my brother's wedding; I will not have a whole ton of time to post. Anyways, be sure to get your rest, because I know some of you don't.
